NSW Small Balconies Remediation
The Design and Building Practitioners Act (2020), aims to restore public confidence in the building industry in New South Wales by better regulating the design and construction of new buildings. This Act requires ‘Design Compliance Declarations’ and applies to Class 2 buildings, which are multi-level residential buildings containing two or more sole-occupancy units.
PASG Projects has developed a service in NSW that solves one of the major issues facing apartment owners – fixing small balconies in a cost effective manner that doesn’t incur the high costs associated with the design requirements of the DBPA in the initial design and construction phase at a significantly reduced cost. The design work includes:
- Appointment of a qualified Design Practitioner.
- Design compliance integrated into the project management process.
- Preferred practitioners list to ensure cost-effective, high-quality work.
The PASG Small Balconies Design and Remediation Package provides comprehensive solutions to fix small balcony issues. This includes:
- Enhanced Safety: Addressing structural and waterproofing issues to prevent accidents.
- Improved Aesthetics: Enhancing visual appeal and property value.
- Cost-Effective Solutions: Preventing minor issues from becoming costly repairs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all work meets the latest safety standards and regulations.
